5 Ways on How You Can Live Life to the Fullest

Dream as you’ll live forever.

Live as if you’ll die today.-James Dean

You only live once and life is appallingly short. It might be distressing though, but once is truly enough if you’ll live it meaningfully.

Sometimes, it’s just easy to look at your friends who are laughing around and assume that they don’t see your agony. The older you get, the more you realize that happiness really takes an effort- a true hard work.

Those people who smile at you have been through every bit as much as people who scowl and weep. They are just fully armed with optimism and bravery to beam through it anyway. So how do you ensure you’re living a life to the fullest? Here are some tips to help you out.

  1. Decide what’s important to you

You have many plans in the list yet you only have one life to live. So start sorting things out and decide what should be done and prioritized. It doesn’t matter what it is or how hard it is. You can always try it. Don’t do what you think people want you to do. Your parents, friends and the society in general have all their opinions, but at the end of the day, no one else is in charge of your happiness, but you.

  1. Learn to take risks

You’ll never grow much if you’ll not escape from your comfort zone. Sometimes there’s danger involved in life, but every reward carries a risk with it. If you never take risks, you’ll never go anywhere. If you don’t take the chances, you might regret it later on. Go for it and face the consequences.

  1. Tell people you love them

When was the last time you said “I love you” to your loved ones?

Your families and friends would love to hear those words from you as much as your heart rejoices when you hear them. It’s like a music to one’s ear so let them listen to your song. You may not know how much it will affect them if you won’t tell them now. Just say the magic words- I LOVE YOU!

If you have a romantic interest to someone, just go for it. Although there are lot of ways on how it may end, but surely, only one thing will be kept in your heart. Remember, you have nothing to lose.

  1. Live in the present

Your past have molded you to become who you are today. Your future is equally important for it holds your dreams. But at the end of the day, though, the only thing that exists outside your head is the present. So think about your past and future, but only dwell on the present-the only thing that you are sure of. Don’t procrastinate. Start doing the things you can do today.

  1. Speak through your actions

You’ll hear people say, “I had that idea”, every time you see someone create something great. Everyone had the idea. One example is the American magnate and philanthropist, William Henry Gates III, the co-founder of Microsoft Corporation, which became the world’s largest PC software company. He achieved that extraordinary status because he went out and did it while everyone else is talking about it. Ideas are useless if you don’t act on them.

A Sister’s Love

Hello readers! Today is my sister-in-law’s birthday so I crafted her a sonnet.

Happy Birthday, my dearest sister!

(A poem dedicated to Gardhen C. Raymundo-Claveria)

Shall I compare thee to a golden moon?

Thou art more glorious and radiant.

Even the gleaming stars croon,

When you gaze in an instant.

Shall I compare thee to an easterly wind?

Thou art more unfathomable and temperate,

blowing fairly from the bottomless rind,

enveloping your idiosyncratic fate.

Shall I compare thee to a flower?

Thou art more delicate and exquisite.

Even the bees made inimitably sober,

after sipping your sugary palate.

Shall I not compare thee to anything?

Thy beauty is ethereal and everlasting.

I sought love in the woodland,

temperate and undisturbed.

The spirited fowls were stunned,

as I gazed unperturbed.

I searched love in the seas,

boundless and uncharted.

The successive waves ceased,

when I goggled and blurted.

I caught love in the air,

saturated and scented,

blowing firm so fair,

hoary whining melted.

I found love within me,

And it made me free!

Lebana’s Tanka

Tanka #01

Hold my hand tightly,

as my heart pounds jauntily.

We’ll reach for the stars

and we’ll climb the highest hill.

Oh! It’s just a reverie!

Tanka # 02

Look into my eyes,

ponder on what is inside.

Have you seen that glimpse?

We are living the best life.

Oh! It’s just a reverie!

Tanka #03

Listen as I speak,

uttering the foremost words,

with qualms and delight.

Then, you replied certainly.

Oh! It’s just a reverie!

Tanka #04

You lighted my path,

when I was lost in the dark.

You comforted me,

when I was crumbling in pain.

Oh! It’s just a reverie!

A Poem For My Dad

Hello readers!

We’ll be commemorating my father’s 15th death anniversary by tomorrow, September 21st. So, I crafted him a short poem. Hope he could read this from his resting place.

A Poem for my Dad

While sitting moodily off into space,

That glimpse plunges without a phrase.

The sound of squeals deafens me,

As my heart pounds heavily.

It might be eons since you departed,

Silent outcries have already melted.

Your memories linger in me,

Taming my spirit, making me free.

That pair of piercing brown eyes,

 The flamboyant speech that resounds,

The warmth of your embrace exudes,

Stirring my crumbling hopes and views

In misery or gaiety

In turmoil or serenity,

Only one thing is guaranteed

Dad, you’ll always be remembered!
