The Sunshine Blogger Award 6/23/2018

Hello readers! I would like to give a big thank you to Manish Malu for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. I feel very honoured to receive an award especially from such a brilliant man like him. He hopes to reach out to people struggling with their personality and life by providing them moral support and inspiration. Further, his blog brings enlightenment to those who are blessed to read his words. You better check it out.

The Rules are:

Thank the blogger who nominated you.

Use the “Sunshine Blogger Award” logo on your post.

Answer the 11 questions the selector asks of you.

Nominate 5-11 bloggers you want to give the award to.

Ask the following bloggers 11 questions that you selected

My Answers:

1. How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging for almost a year now. Specifically, I’m just weeks away to celebrating my first year. Am I too excited?

2. Where are you located?

I’m from the Philippines, a Southeast Asian country in the Western Pacific, comprising more than 7,000 islands. I’m proud of my homeland.

3. When you are not blogging, how do you spend your time?

I usually blog every night/after my work. Aside from that, reading and playing mobile games mooch most of my time.

4. What’s the best Halloween Costume you’ve ever had?

I haven’t worn any Halloween Costume. I don’t want to try, either.

5. What’s your favorite word?

None. I love all the words. They are all equally beautiful.

6. What is the worst job you ever had?

None. I don’t think a worst job exists. It is our responsibility to love our job, whatever it is.

7. What is a dream you have that you’ve yet to achieve?

I eagerly want to finish my post-graduate education, five to six years from now.

8. What do you fear most?

The idea of losing the persons I love sickens me.

9. If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, who would that be?

Hypothetically, I would choose to become the president of my country. I just wanted to know how a president thinks especially when faced with complications, and how he leads his countrymen in building the nation. It is quite a tough job.

10. Do you have a hidden talent?

I don’t think I have another talent aside from writing. I wish I had.

11. What was the last text you sent?

An answer to my mother regarding where I was

Lebana Speaks: Amidst Obscurity (My 100th Post)

Here I am all over again,

entombed in the realm of obscurity

Silent outcry is just vain,

and desolation may cause insanity.

Will he come and protect me

against the wretched curse of destiny?

Please come and set me free,

and we’ll both embrace immortality.

Now is the right time, my dear,

while the devil is slumbering.

Gather your strength, you need not fear.

Unshackle me and I’ll halt whining.

I shall not fear any darkness, my dear.

For you are always here and there.

Lebana Speaks: Love Under The Stars

I had a dream last night

In my euphoric vision

I was standing there

under the golden moon and glittering stars

I was enjoying to watch the picture-perfect sky

and listening to the melodious rhythm of the wind

when suddenly, I heard a voice, a very familiar voice

It was him, I thought, and he really was

He ran near where I stood

And before I uttered the foremost words

He hugged and kissed me fervently

like it was our first, like we owned the universe

We then talked and laughed

We even hummed our favorite song

while dancing under the moonlight

Everything was just so fantastic

But before he left that night

he gently whispered these important words

“Always remember that I love you

and I will see you again”

This dream makes me miss you more, my love.

I will definitely see you, not in my dreams but in reality.

Wait for me and together we’ll dance

under the stars.

Lebana Speaks: Does “forever” exist?

Hey lovelies! Since the word “forever’’ has been a boiling topic in my country, I’ve written my own interpretation of it.

Forever begins when we learn to accept and forgive-

Forever is a word converted into action-

Forever is not perfect; it is about giving each other unlimited chances in love-

Forever is possible if you’ll make it possible-

Forever is a dream while you are awake

I want to hear from you. Please enlighten me with your own version of “forever” through the comment section.

Thank you!

Lebana Speaks: Untold Poetry (A Sonnet)

As I hid in the bars of fate,

little voices tattled behind me.

Withering words ignited hate,

hence, freedom was a plea.

But when I wallowed in the grandeur of tales,

and succumbed in the glory of poetries,

those displeasures, frights, and gales

suddenly disappeared like reveries.

I then escaped from the realm of uncertainty,

which led me to the depths of fantasy.

There I found solace and serenity,

but it also took away my sanity.

Only a fool can fathom how I think.

Translate the odds before you blink.

Equilibrium(Sunday’s Haiku)

Stack of boulders

bravely stood ere the sky

through a magic touch

Life can be compared to that stack of boulders. We may have dissimilar ways of piling things up in our lives. Naturally, we have different strategies, priorities and dreams. However, we should always remember that our thoughts, words and actions should always be in great harmony whatever happens. Or else, the ramparts we’ve once made will fall and eventually turn into ashes. Be sure you are living the life of your dreams. Just don’t let your dreams decay.

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony” Mahatma Gandhi
